RBI approves re-appointment of Rana Kapoor as YES Bank head

YES Bank's directors and shareholders had already approved Kapoor's re-appointment at the bank's 11th AGM on June 6. 

Kapoor, also the founder of YES Bank, will resume his position has the managing director and CEO of the bank with effect from September 1 this year. 

Rana Kapoor's re-appointment as the head of the bank was under question since Madhu Kapoor, who holds a 10% stake in the company, and is also Rana Kapoor's sister-in-law, had filed a case against him, stating that her decisions in company matters were not being considered. 

Rana Kapoor and Ashok Kapoor are both co-founders of the bank, holding 20% stake. The case was filed after Ashok Kapoor's death.
