Leading hotel network OYO today announced its foray into Nepal, where it launched a property in capital Kathmandu.

"After our successful overseas foray in Malaysia, we are now thrilled to offer OYO's hassle-free and standardised stay experience to travellers visiting Nepal," OYO Founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal said in a release here.

Founded in 2013, OYO is today India's largest hotel network operating 7,000 properties and 70,000 rooms in more than 200 Indian cities, including in major metros, regional hubs, top leisure destinations as well as pilgrimage towns.

In January 2017, OYO launched Townhouse - a managed hotel-brand designed to function as social hot spots to cater to city dwellers and a new generation of guests.

Nepal is the second overseas market for OYO, after its successful venture into Malaysia in January 2016, where it has now grown to 200 hotels.
