Nokia has reportedly said that the company's Chennai manufacturing plant in India will not be a part its deal with Microsoft.
A Nokia representative said that it is highly unlikely that the plant will transfer to Microsoft.
Microsoft will, however, sign a services agreement with Nokia to continue to develop products at the plant, the company says, CNET reports.
A Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement that it is aware that Nokia has communicated to their employees that the factory may not transfer due to the liens in place.
The spokesperson added that the Microsoft and Nokia corporate teams continue to work together to close this deal on April 25 as announced earlier this week and promised to share more details after the closing of the deal.
