New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), said on Wednesday that it temporarily suspended trading in all of securities on its exchanges following earlier reports of technical difficulties. They addressed it as computer malfunction.
The NYSE said all open orders would be canceled, according to Reuters. The issues seemed to be limited to the NYSE floor. Media reports said that the exchange said it did not affect the NYSE Arca and NYSE Amex/Arca Options.

NYSE also mentioned that the issue is not a result of cyber breach, but internal breach.

It was around 11:32 in the morning in New York when stocks stopped trading in the NYSE platform. Post that they continued to switch to other venues such as Nasdaq Stock Market and Bats Global Markets.
