Markets continue to bleed as Nifty falls below 200-day moving average

Among mid-caps India Cements, JK Tyre, M&M Finance, Suzlon Energy and Jet Airways were heavy losers.

The Indian Stock Markets fell on Monday morning with the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Sensex trading below its 200-day moving average (DMA). 

The BSE lost nearly 200 points, at 27,245 at 11.06 am. The National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty fell 0.87%, and was trading at 8234 points at 11.06 am. 

Among mid-caps India Cements, JK Tyre, M&M Finance, Suzlon Energy and Jet Airways were heavy losers. 

The Nifty slipped to its lowest point since January 9, 2015 and the CNX Midcap index fell over 2%. 

Bank Nifty was trading down by 0.75% or 135 points. 

Asian Paints Bank of Baroda, BHEL, Lupin, SBI were major Nifty losers.
