Leading manufacturer of light commercial vehicle, Mahindra and Mahindra today launched mini truck Maximo in Madhya Pradesh.
Maximo which was unveiled in the recent Auto Expo, is the first offering from the company's Chakan facility in Maharashtra.
Launching the vehicle, company's vice president, Sales, Bhatendu Kapoor told reporters "in order to give maximum output, the Maximo as the name suggests is equipped with the world's first two-cylinder Common Rail Diesel Engine (CRDe)."
The vehicle is launched to cater to the needs of tier II and III cities offering maximum space, comforts and on a price tag of Rs2.88 lakh (Ex-showroom, Bhopal) with a capacity of 850 kg payload.
Initially it will be available in northern and western markets and as the production capacity increases, it would be launched in south, east and north-eastern markets.
