List of agreements inked between India, South Korea

India and South Korea on Monday agreed to upgrade their ties to 'Special Strategic Partnership' and deepen cooperation in defence sector as the two sides signed seven agreements including on avoidance of double taxation.

"We have agreed to upgrade the bilateral relationship to 'Special Strategic Partnership'," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a joint press interaction with President Park after their "excellent" talks.

Here is the list of agreements signed between India and South Korea:

  1. Agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Korea for the Avoiding Double Taxation on the taxpayers of the two countries
     
  2. Agreement on Cooperation in Audio-Visual Co-Production of films, animation and broadcasting programmes between India and Korea to collaborate Indian and Korean film industries, and facilitate Cooperation and exchange.
     
  3. MOU for Cooperation between the National Security Council Secretariat of the of India and the Office of National Security of the of Korea to formalize consultations.
     
  4. MOU between the Ministry of Power of India and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea for Cooperating in the field of Electric Power Development and New Energy Industries.
     
  5. MOU between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of Korea to strengthen and encourage Cooperation in Youth Matters. 
     
  6. Framework on Cooperation between the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of India and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the of Korea.
     
  7. MOU between the Ministry of Shipping of India and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of Korea on Cooperation in the Fields of Maritime Transport and Logistics.
