While the empty shell of the coach was revealed at an elaborate event organised in March 2015, its façade was quietly revealed in November, said the report.

The coach will be delivered to Kochi Metro's Muttom depot in the first week of January 2016. The depot is currently being constructed by Larsen & Toubro and under the guidance of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The initial trials will take place across a 7 km stretch between Muttom and Edappally.
