Jungle Ventures strengthens top management team with three key hires

The company, which has leading industrialist Ratan Tata on its board, has made the appointments to build a long-term and strong investment platform, it said in a statement.

Venture capital firm Jungle Ventures on Wednesday said it has hired three senior executives including former Google executive Menka Sajnani and Komli Media's Vaishali Cooper to strengthen its management team.

The company, which has leading industrialist Ratan Tata on its board, has made the appointments to build a long-term and strong investment platform, it said in a statement.

Cooper, former CFO at online advertising company Komli Media, is joining Jungle as its finance chief and will oversee financial, tax and compliance functions at the firm. She will also oversee the performance of the investee companies and provide operating support as required.

Sajnani, who will join Jungle as Director of Corporate Development, was most recently Regional Manager with Google Southeast Asia. In her new role, she will be responsible for building corporate, strategic and investor relations both for Jungle and their portfolio companies.

Jungle Ventures has also brought on board James Lin, former financial controller at eBay as Head of Finance, it said. Lin will be the Head of Finance across all the Jungle funds and will be in charge of portfolio financial reporting, LP reporting, due diligence on new investments.

He will also provide operating support to portfolio companies in terms of process improvements and accounting, it said.

"We are very keen on building a world class team to add value to next generation ventures that are involved in solving some of the biggest problems that businesses and consumers face today," Jungle Ventures co-founder and managing partner Anurag Srivastava said.
