With Hero MotoCorp laying dormant and suddenly having a spurt of unveils - four new products that look extremely impressive - it has taken the Indian motorcycle market by storm. They include a sporty 250 cc motorcycle - the HX250R, the RNT, a breakthrough diesel concept bike - the Leap, India’s first Electric-serial-hybrid scooter and the Dash, an all-new 110 cc scooter.
The HX250R gets a liquid cooled engine with fuel injection which gives it a very impressive 31 PS of power. The 150 cc diesel powered RNT concept bike is aimed at riders who need capacity and power to haul heavier loads, but they also want to be comfortable, fuel-efficient and stylish. There is an electric Hybrid scooter in the offering as well in the form of the Leap. Powered by lithium-ion batteries and an 8kW electric traction motor, the Leap eliminates the limited range of an electric vehicle by incorporating “a range extender – an on-board generator set” powered by an extremely efficient all new 124cc engine. And finally the all-new 110-cc Dash expects to further enhance its presence and consolidate its position in the scooter segment.
Hero showed an all-new variant of the Hero Xtreme called the Sports Edition. With barrage of exciting and ingenious products, Hero MotoCorp suddenly seems to look like a giant awakened from its slumber.
