GACL net profit at Rs 48.68 crore in Quarter 2

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) reported marginal increase in net profit today at Rs 48.68 crore for the quarter ended September 2014 as compared to Rs 47.78 crore during the same period last year.

The company achieved net sales of Rs 495.10 crore for the quarter ended September 2014 as against Rs 461.36 crore for the second quarter a year ago, a company statement issued here said.

Net sales for the first half is Rs 989.01 crore as against Rs 874.74 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year despite competitive market conditions.

Profit before tax of the first half is Rs 133.63 crore as compared to Rs 106.91 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit after tax for the first half is Rs 105.63 crore as compared to Rs 85.08 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
