Former Australian Cricketer Steve Waugh launches realty portal for NRIs

This platform is said to sell Indian premium properties in India to NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) across the world, according to media reports.

Former World cup winning Australian captain Steve Waugh is all set to pitch in Indian real estate segment. He has launched a real estate portal called 'Waugh Global' which is basically a property platform specifically for Non Resident Indians (NRIs).

In an interview Waugh said that this portal will cater to needs of NRIs who are interested in properties in India. 

This platform is said to sell Indian premium properties in India to NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) across the world, according to media reports.


According to Economic Times, Steve Waugh, Founder and Chairman of Waugh Global said, "I have always seen India as a land rich in opportunities and am excited to be in the Indian real estate market. Am sure, our portal will facilitate greater investment into the country that has given me so much."

ET reported that Waugh will be partnered by three more people- Dean Honan, Simon Szewach and Niel Honan.

waughglobal.com which was launched on Tuesday, currently sells properties of Godrej Properties, Kalpataru, K Raheja Corporation, Lodha Group, Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate, Sobha and Brigade Group, according to ET.

Already associated with various NGOs in India, Waugh has planned to keep aside part of his profits for charities.
