CM Manohar Lal Khattar approves setting up of 11 govt industrial training institutes in Haryana

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday approved the proposal for construction of 11 new Government Industrial Training Institutes (GITIs) and three other institutes in the state at a cost of Rs 98 crore.

The 11 GITIs would come up at Talwada in Fatehabad district, Kadma in Bhiwani, Chhachhrauli in Yamunanagar, Bapauli and Matlauda in Panipat, Sikrona in Faridabad, Sahbajpur (Nangal Chaudhary) and Bhojawas in Mahindergarh and Surewala, Bhaklana and Rakhi Shahpur of Hisar, he said.

Under the 'Swarn Jayanti ITIs Scheme', in all 19 new ITIs and three other institutes would be opened and 400 students would get training in each ITI, the Chief Minister said. Among other institutes, Skill Development Training Centre would come up at Indri in Karnal district, Multi-Centre at Sehlang in Mahindergarh and Barana Construction and Establishment Skill Development Centre at Barana village in Panipat.

Khattar informed that the Department of Industrial Training is running 348 institutes in the state.
