BSE gains over 100 points as markets regain some ground

Sun Pharma, which lost over 10% of its value on Tuesday after Daiichi Sankyo announced exiting the company by selling all its shares, gained over 2% on the NSE in morning trade.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Wednesday, opened in green and was trading at 27,780, yp 0.4% or over 100 points at 10.00 am. The National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty, too gained 28 points to trade at 8405. 

Sun Pharma, which lost over 10% of its value on Tuesday after Daiichi Sankyo announced exiting the company by selling all its shares, gained over 2% on the NSE in morning trade. 

Rupee, too, opened in the positive and gained 7 paise against the dollar when the markets opened. 

The Rs 40,000 crore tax on Foreign Institutional Investors (FII)  had worried the markets over the past week. 

On Tuesday, Indian stock markets lost over 2% value. The BSE had closed at its four-week low and Nifty tumbled below 8400.
