After Delhi, now Punjab and Haryana Government too raise VAT on diesel

The revised rates would be effective from today.

The Haryana Government on Thursday raised the Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel from 12.5% to 16.4%.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Government raised the VAT on diesel from 12.5% to 13.4%.

The revised rates would be effective from today.

On Wednesday, petrol prices hiked in the national capital by Rs 2.78 per litre and diesel by Rs 1.83 as the Delhi Government raised VAT.
