India's first 'smart city' under construction in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised creation of 'smart cities' to accommodate the bulging population and ease off the pressure on urban city centres.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised creation of 'smart cities' to accommodate the bulging population and ease off the pressure on urban city centres. 

The government is trying to get the private sector interested in building these smart cities and plans 100 smart cities. 

This is a photogallery of the first such smart city under construction in Gujarat.
