The BSE Sensex provisionally fell 3.2% on Wednesday, extending its losing streak to a sixth day. Financials led the drop, tracking the slide across Asia and Europe.
The 30-share BSE index provisionally ended down 3.21%, or 538.16 points at 16,242.30 with all but one of its components falling.
The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed down 3.4% at 4,837.15.
