The 30-stock benchmark index, Sensex remained flat just down 6 points in the mid morning trade. The Nifty was almost flat but in red trading at 8013 points.
The top gainers were HUL, Wipro, Coal India and Infosys.
The top losers in the trade were PNB, Bhel, Tata Power, BPCL.
Jindal Steel and Power and Hindalco are key stocks to be watched out for as the Supreme Court will announce its verdict in the coal block allocation case and decide the fate of 218 coal blocks today.
Also Hindalco has also been downgraded by Macquarie to neutral from outperform as it sees no near term catalyst, media reports showed.
Coal India is gaining in the anticipation of the coal block allocation hearing.
Apart from FMCG, IT and metals, all other sectors are in red.
