‘Dhamaal’ after effects
Moreover, Javed’s act in ‘Dhamaal’ has won him a list of worthwhile projects. The actor believes that things couldn’t be better.
“Respect and appreciation are key things for an actor. I have tried my best to try different roles and will continue doing so,” says Javed.
Seriously funny
Strangely, people often perceive those with a funny bone on screen to possess the same in real life as well. However, Javed feels there’s more to him than just his amusing side.
“If I’m a very funny, mad person, I am also a sober guy. But there’s harmony between the two,” he laughs.
Family fundas
With schedules getting hectic, giving time to the family does get a little difficult for Javed.
“I keep my Sundays for my family (wife Habiba and three children). Also, I try my best to reach home early to spend time with my kids. I try and catch up with them over the phone. I agree that’s not the best time management but I do try ,” he adds.
“All my three kids are very close to me. The youngest one, Turab Abbas, is four and is a prankster; he is like a tornado. We call him Mr T. My eldest son, Meezaan Ahmed, is quiet and great at playing football. My daughter, Sayyeda Alaviaa, is 11 and she is very sober too. Whenever possible, I take them out for movies and dinners. We enjoy our pillow fights too,” he smiles.
Dance man
With a host of dance and reality shows doing the television rounds, Javed feels, he is better off without them.
“I have been involved with a show (‘Boogie Woogie’, Sony) that revolves solely around dance since the past 11 years. In fact, it’s the original TV show that catered to dance enthusiasts. After it, I never felt the need nor did I ever attempt to be associated with any dance show,” he ends.
