Asus ZenFone AR launched in India at Rs 49,999; features 5.7-inch display, 8GB RAM

Asus introduced the ZenFone AR in India at a price of Rs 49,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart. The device will go on sale today at 4PM IST. It will be available in a black color variant. Users will also get the Asus ZenEar S earphones that support DTS Headphone:X and Hi-Res Audio. Flipkart is also offering Rs 2,500 off on the Google daydream VR headset along with the purchase of the smartphone.

Asus introduced the ZenFone AR in India at a price of Rs 49,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart. The device will go on sale today at 4PM IST. It will be available in a black color variant. Users will also get the Asus ZenEar S earphones that support DTS Headphone:X and Hi-Res Audio. Flipkart is also offering Rs 2,500 off on the Google daydream VR headset along with the purchase of the smartphone. 

The smartphone comes loaded with both Google Tango and Daydream VR technologies. In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 8GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 12GB which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the smartphone comes equipped with a 23MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 6P Largan lens and TriTech Focus System along with an 8MP front facing camera with a dual-LED flash. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS and NFC. A 3300mAh battery completes the package.
