Chloe

A new perfume from Chloe will have you coming up smelling roses. Not surprising since it’s called Roses de Chloe. Not surprising once again, that the heart notes of this fragrance is Damascena rose essence with magnolia accord. Open the bottle to the top notes that fill you with bergamot and you’re left with a trail of white musk and amber as the after notes. The bottle is an enticing piece of work. The glass is crowned with a silver top and transparent cap, while inside the fragrance expresses itself delicately. Composed by perfumers Michel Almairac and Mylene Alran, the perfume is said to possess an airy, luminous and subtle personality.

Davidoff

After the phenomenal success of Cool Water by Davidoff, comes Cool Water Night Dive. While at the core it remains faithful to the genesis of the fragrance, i.e. masculinity, it now adds a nocturnal tryst with ‘raw elemental magnetism’, we are told. The perfume for men is a seductive blend of mint, and aquatic fruits and the woody ‘lentisk’, which slowly gives way to oriental notes of cashmeran with a heady finish of amber heightened once more by lentisk.

The fragrance exhorts the man to follow his intuition and trust his own power and finally, stay loyal to the magnetism of Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive.

Montegrappa

Montegrappa is known not just for its beautiful writing instruments, but also for its interesting innovations. Right off the anvil is The Brain Pen, a result of extensive collaboration with Dr Richard Restak, M D and author on a number of books on the brain.. The link between the brain and the pen, with the act and art of writing serving as an extension of man’s ability to express himself while exercising the brain itself, encouraged Montegrappa to illustrate this direct intellectual and physical connection. The result? The top part of the pen is rich and elaborate while the body is simple. It represents a metaphoric allusion to man itself, whose brain is a powerful, rich and complex organ which rules the body. The cap features an overlay of neurons, the pocket clip acts as the spinal cord. The hippocampus is depicted in the tip of the nib dressed as a sea horse. The Brain Pen is a limited edition of 1012 silver fountain pens (the number of neurons in the brain) 900 silver roller ball pens (as many neurotransmitter molecules that exist); 50 (the diameter of synaptic vesicles in nanometers) 18 karat gold roller ball pens and 12 of 18 karat gold fountain pens the number representing 12 cranial nerves. And finally, 6 solid 18 Karat roller balls with diamonds for the 6 cortical layers. Now get your head and hands around that!

Ferragamo

The new range of eyewear from Salvatorre Ferragamo promises to be as exacting in vision principles as it is alluring.

The women’s range features creative reinterpretations of the Gancino, Vara and other iconic details, both in terms of materials, by combining them with elements in leather, and in terms of colour, presenting novel contrasts such as translucent coral and turquoise.

The men’s range is distinguished by classic shapes, enhanced by brand new features, such as multi-layered acetate in contrasting colours.

The same aesthetic language is applied to the men’s and women’s collections of optical frames, where details inspired by the iconic Gancino and Vara designs embellish frames available in new colour options, complementing the sunglasses collection.

Frazer and Haws

The Eternal Dial collection by Frazer Haws is aimed at the advent of festivities. The dials are many: the flames of the sun, the burst of flowers, the peacock flamboyance and also, the calm Buddha. Adorned in silver, it’s worth a second look.
