Commentary :
0.0 : The Rose Bowl will host the second Royal London ODI where South Africa go into this game with the objective of staying alive in the series. The Proteas suffered a big loss in the series opener against an England unit which looks impenetrable in the 50-over format. Eoin Morgan led from the front in the previous encounter with a superb ton and the total posted as a result of that proved to be too much for AB de Villiers' men.
This series is all about both teams finding some rhythm going into the Champions Trophy. Today will be a good test for both sides. Playing under pressure will surely benefit them going into the all-important tournament. Beating the No.1 ODI side in the world would have surely done a world of good for the Englishmen. Can they extend their 7-match winning run or will be see the Saffas turn it up under these cloudy conditions in Southampton?
TOSS - SOUTH AFRICA WIN THE TOSS AND WILL HAVE A BOWL FIRST! The hosts have made one change - Chris Woakes makes way for Jake Ball. South Africa have three changes - Imran Tahir, Wayne Parnell and JP Duminy are replaced by Keshav Maharaj (Debut), Dwayne Pretorious and Farhaan Behardien.
We are all set to get underway. The players and the umpires have made their way out in the middle. Overcast conditions, a good chill and we're ready to get things going. Jason Roy and Alex Hales will open the batting for England while Kagiso Rabada will lead the South African bowling charge. Two slips are in place. Here we go...

4.1 : K Rabada to J Roy, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Beaten for sheer pace. It's deadly, it's fast and takes the stumps with it all the way to Wales. What a ripper of a delivery from Kagiso Rabada. Yorker at over 90 mph, on middle and off, Jason Roy has no chance of digging this one out. It zips through and knocks the stumps. Got to feel sorry for the English opener, would have taken something really special to keep it at bay. Rabada draws first blood, Roy's brief stay has come to an end.

12.2 : K Maharaj to Joe Root, FOUR! Full and coming in on middle and leg, Root clears his front leg a bit and slog sweeps it over mid-wicket. There's nobody out there in the deep so it'll run across the rope for a boundary. This is good batting from Joe Root. The current batting pair has just started to accelerate a bit here now.

15.5 : D Pretorius to E Morgan, OUT! JOE ROOT IS GONE! Quite unfortunate for him but this is some excellent work from Dwayne Pretorious. He flights it up there as Morgan drives it straight back in the bowler's direction. Pretorious gets down and manages to get some finger on it. The ball goes back and hits the stumps at the non-striker's end. Root had backed away a bit and probably a bit in trouble, his expression saying it all. The umpire has referred it and the replays show he's not made it ba
