Ice gola, the season’s favourite

• With beginning of summer, people are vouching to get chill by having ice gola. Vendors these days use innovative ideas to prepare tasty ice golas. Earlier, ice gola was available in limited tastes but now it is available in multiple varieties.

• The price of gola is between Rs5 and Rs100. The Golawalas are serving golas with different varieties like gola with ice cream, gola with condensed milk, and dry fruit. In many places, the Golawalas are mindful of public health and they take care in making ice from mineral water. “We sell varieties like chocobar gola, watermelon gola, fruit gola, ice cream gola and list is goes on,” said owner of Vaishu Sharbat in Manekchawk.

• According to a survey, as many as 5,000 Golawalas are doing this seasonal business during every summer.
