The French promotion board’s formal, sit-down dinner for its business associates in Mumbai was a plush affair with a meal in several courses that lasted a couple of hours. Rashmi Uday Singh was the star of the evening with the board awarding her the media personality of the year. Shobhaa and Dilip De were seen mingling with friends, while Aftab Shivdasani was seen listening in rapt attention to the proceedings.
Suchitra Pillai who emceed the evening wearing a sexy blue  dress introduced the highlight of the evening — the can-can dancers from Paris. The latter were an absolute delight with their agility and frolicsome moves and made for a delicious diversion among all the speeches that came before.
