Vickram Sethi of the ICIA Gallery hosted an exhibition of Polish artists and a large section of the consulate corps showed up. Polish ambassador Piotr Klodkowski came in as did consul general Janusz Bylinska. AN Roy dropped in  with wife Mona, the latter dressed in a deep green sari and they mingled easily with the expatriates.  Also present were Korean consul general Dong Yern Kim  his wife Kyung Sook, Turkish consul general Murat Ahmet Yoruk, British Deputy head of mission Jeff Glekin and wife Tomomi Yamamoto, Anne Dubuorg from the Alliance Francaise and  Anna Kalate of the IPCCI. We were surprised to find that the Polish ambassador speaks Hindi, and fluently at that.  So much so that he’s scheduled to deliver a lecture in Hindi at the Benares Hindu University (BHU) in north India the next few days! Talk about being an Indophile…
