Chirag Patel's exhibition-cum-installation This Is Not It based on Michael Jackson's life and career, showcased the artist's mania for the late pop prince. The canvases were created in neon colours to imitate montages from Michael's videos and concerts. While many people like Dolly Thakore wondered whether the canvases were paintings of photographs, Madhoo Shah said she could do all of MJ's steps except the moonwalk. Guests recalled MJ's fabulous show in Mumbai in 1997 and Anil Dharker said that he had been quite mesmerised by Jackson's stage presence . Akbar Padamsee, a great friend of Chirag's sculptor father Nagi Patel, came to support the artist. Most people burst into peals of laughter at Chirag's video spoof of MJ's onstage gimmick — the legendary jump in the air. According to the artist there’s loads more to come from Jacko’s life !
