Day three of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week turned out to be a truly high-octane event with futuristic dresses, dramatic choreography, fun and fashionable accessories and whole lot more.

Designer
Neema Kumar

Collection
Romanza

Fabrics like cambric, raw silk, net and georgette in purple, royal blue, green, red, carrot pink and orange teamed with lycra, Banarasi brocade, crape and were wonderfully incorporated into Neema’s collection. We loved the colours indeed and were wonderfully surprised by her ability to mellow down even the most loudest of dresses, using simple techniques like contrast and toning down of shades. The gem-studded wide kamar-bandh additions to most lehengas, was something that really caught our attention and the contrast borders in most pieces were reminiscent of old Indian traditions. We especially loved a deep maroon sari, with huge embroidered motifs and a gem-studded waist. A floral theme ran right through the collection, even finding its way in the form of prints on some of the dresses.

What’s Hot
The reinvention of many Indian themes.

What’s Not
A use of in-vogue materials that may not look too good on everything, for example, net.
