For couples planning to spend Valentines Day in Goa, there is good news. For the first time in India, a festival titled ‘Passions’ is being dedicated exclusively to couples during the Valentines weekend, 2010. What’sinteresting is that festival head honchos are approaching the iconic guitarist Carlos Santana to be the brand ambassador of this event.
The event will see a host of celebrities from Bollywood join in for the three-day jig to be held at North Goa. Several music bands and artistes from India along with DJs will be taking part and organisers, Percept, say age is no bar for entry.
“We are targeting everyone who is in love with life because once you are in love with your life, only then can you love someone else and live to the fullest. We are looking at Carlos Santana being present at the festival and if he gives us the nod, there is no greater artist to be the ambassador for the festival. He will be our special attraction,” says a top official of the company.
The authority adds, “We can’t have much of Bollywood music at the fest, but Indian bands, singers and DJs will be there. The focus is on having music with a different vibe. But Bollywood celebrities will be present there and it is great that there will be destination for people who are in love on Valentines Day.”
The organisers are also roping in various artists to exhibit their art works and installations at the venue.
