The wardrobe of Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, who went on to become the princess of Monaco, will be displayed at the London-based art and design museum Victoria & Albert. This shows that classic style transcends the boundaries of time and space. With so much interest surrounding the event, DNA asks six fashionistas whose wardrobe they would like to pinch.

Rita Dhody, fashion stylist
“Definitely it has to be Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Her sense of style was classic and refined. So many inspirations have been drawn from her look. I envy her wardrobe for that eternal, understated look. I would love to lay my hands on beautiful cropped jackets, her suits, glasses and off-shoulder dresses.”

Anu Dewan, socialite
“I love Nicole Kidman’s style. I am a crazy collector of bags and love her Bottega ‘knot’ bags. I also love Victoria Beckham’s Berkin bags. She has almost 100 of them and I would love to have some of those. I am six-months pregnant. So style for me is something that I have to be comfortable and confident in.”

Farah Khan Ali, jewellery designer
“I would have to say Angelina Jolie’s hot and sexy style. She doesn’t need too much to project herself. She could wear pyjamas and look stylish, and her designer gowns are so hot. I would love to lay my hands on her emerald earrings and the smouldering hot salmon pink gown (Jolie wore the gown at last year’s Cannes Festival).”

Chitrangada Singh, actor
“I love everything that Sarah Jessica Parker wears. She goes extreme sometimes but makes sure it never looks bizarre. Katie Holmes on the other hand is bit of a Posh and Lady Diana. Even if she puts on jeans and a jacket, she looks every bit classy.”

Ritu Beri, designer
“For true inspiration, I would love to riffle through Elsa Schiaparelli’s wardrobe. She’s an original. I find women like her really inspirational.”

Malaika Arora-Khan, actor
“It would be a combination of Audrey Hepburn, Madonna and Victoria Beckham. I want to raid their wardrobes for their style statements. I appreciate their eye for detail and love the way they put things together.”
