Tom Cruise has apparently gagged Katie Holmes from talking about their divorce deal.

Sources told the Mirror that, the Mission Impossible star insisted on a confidentiality clause as a key part of the out-of-court agreement, in which Holmes got primary custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri.

The 50-year-old actor has drawn up a contract with her lawyers setting out every detail of their relationship with the youngster.

The 33-year-old is believed to have negotiated restrictions on what each of them can teach their daughter about religion, including his controversial beliefs on Scientology.

However these restrictions would be relaxed, as Suri gets older.

The contract is said to be “incredibly detailed” and covers almost every aspect of the young girl’s upbringing until she turns 18.

According to TMZ, insiders insist that Cruise is determined to ensure details of his personal life are not made public. And he has stipulated in the agreement that Holmes must not speak about their dealings with Scientology.

“Confidentiality was the key. If Katie hadn’t signed up to remain silent it could have become a very messy legal battle,” a source told the tabloid.

The representatives of the former couple have insisted details of their settlement will be kept under wraps.

Her agent Leslie Sloane confirmed: “The terms will not be disclosed.”
