Rock on!
Get set to rock this weekend by heading for a performance by the band Pseutopia. The band pursues its path to create hard hitting music that is bound to provoke your thoughts while it also gives it a share of kicks. As the name goes, pseudo-utopias are all around and they say it just like they see it. With raw and powerful lyrics, the music of Pseutopia is bound to get your heads banging on the inside and the out. Says Ashish Kothare, from Legends of Rock, “This is the first time the band is going to be performing in Bangalore. After releasing their single, Free Lunch that reached the No7 spot in New Jersey rock charts, they are all set to recreate the magic here. They are quite unique in their sound and they are sure to conquer the night with some heavy metal!” The band consists of Laji — vocalist, Mithun — lead guitarist and Shyam — bass guitarist. A cover charge of `200 is applicable.

A visual treat
Be it in relationships, work, or even life, humans are always negotiating. There’s constantly a choice that we have to make. Wouldn’t it be nice if all this could be represented through the medium of colours in the form of paintings? That is exactly what Gallery Blue Spade has come up with. Titled, Negotiated Position, the exhibition of paintings and sculptures is a group show that features works of over 18 artists across the country.  Talking about the show, Neha Jiamdani, curator of the gallery says, “A lot of people will be able to connect with this theme as we are constantly in a state of negotiation. We have about 18 artists that include Sunoj, VG Venugopal, Babu Eshwar and several other giving their perspective about the theme. The paintings have been worked in different mediums and are priced at Rs90,000 onwards.”
