Sakshi loves to experiment, says designer Masaba Gupta

A lot is known about ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni - his likes and dislikes are like common knowledge to his fans but his wife, Sakshi still prefers to maintain a mysterious front. Fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who styled Sakshi for an event and helped her pick some of her designs sheds some light on the lady's style sense.

Masaba says that she happened to meet Sakshi by chance. "I didn't know her personally, but a common friend got her to my store as Sakshi wanted to pick some saris. We're both in a similar age group which is why it was probably easy working with her. But I must say that she's got an eye for edgy and off beat stuff," says the designer.

So, does Sakshi have a list of dos and don'ts when it comes to fashion? "I don't think so. She's extremely experimental. And I was surprised that she has a penchant for creative saris — a not so common trait in most girls her age," says Masaba.

Elaborating further on Sakshi's choice of clothes Masaba says that even though Mrs Dhoni likes to try out new designs, she definitely knows what to stay away from. "She knows what works for her body and what doesn't. She seemed a bit partial to colours like pink and yellow because they suit her complexion a lot," says Masaba adding that shades like bottle green and the like also feature on Sakshi's list.

The designer also reveals that Sakshi prefers silver and ethnic jewellery pieces over traditional ones. "She has an eclectic style with both clothes and jewellery," says Masaba.
