Look at Italy for a lesson in preservation of Italian heritage sites, seems to be the message being given at the Italian festival Festa Italiana. In its eighth edition, the festival has put up a photo exhibition of 41 beautiful Italian UNESCO heritage sites.
The photographs have been taken by 14 different Italian photographers as they see each of the sites, adding their own perspective to them.
Dinesh Nair, President of the Indo-Italian Chamber, thinks that the exhibition highlights how correctly the heritage structures of any country should be preserved.
“Just think about how our Opera House is deteriorating. What are we doing about it? At some level this exhibition will also make people aware about the importance of the restoration of a country’s heritage,” he says, adding, “Also the photographs are a visual treat as you get to see some of the most beautiful monuments of Italy.”
This exhibition will be on till March 17 at the Nehru Centre.
