Mumbai: Delhi designer Mandira Wirk is shifting base to Mumbai and there are two reasons for the move -- Bollywood and the flourishing Mumbai market. For the designer who has become a regular on the Mumbai fashion scene, moving to Mumbai is like coming to her second home.

"I have been frequenting Mumbai for sometime now and my creations have got a really good response. It's another step in my business plans and definitely Bollywood is a big reason behind this move too," says Mandira whose new-found friends include Bolly and Telly celebrities like Gul Panag, Mandira Bedi, Roshni Chopra and Rakshanda Khan.

"Bollywood projects arein the pipeline and the celebrities whom I know here have been consistently asking me to come to Mumbai. Their call is getting stronger by the day. It also makes sense for me as I can give them what they want instantly. It is a lot easier to coordinate when I'm in Mumbai and my business in Bollywood will also grow only if I'm here," adds the sassy designer who is currently styling Malaika Arora and has also styled for Shah Rukh Khan's TV show Knights & Angels.

And where is the designer planning to open her store? "I'm scouting around Bandra, Juhu and Kemps Corner to set up my store. These are the key pockets and then I will expand to more areas. My coming to Mumbai doesn't mean that I will shut shop in Delhi. It's my home and so the stores there will be fully operational. It's just that I will stay here purely for business purposes."
