Tell us firstly about your label?
My label is very feminine, very pretty as well as a very young, contemporary brand. We basically concentrate on freshness and a good fit is a must. My label is more like resort and shift dresses, sun dresses and flowy maxi gowns that are usually worn by celebs at Cannes and other festivals. It is very cosy wear; we use embellishment that is modern and not old school. And the colours are more vibrant and playful.

When you create something, what goes through your mind?
Whenever I create something, be it clothes or accessory, the most vital part is comfort. I create things that accentuates the right body parts of the person, so that they feel absolutely in their own skin and are totally comfy. This is important as all of us have some problem area that we are sensitive about in clothing . I see to it that one doesn't have to be bothered as it highlights the pros only. Besides, I make clothes that are simple yet elegant and can be worn with a nice accessory.  I want to make every woman look absolutely gorgeous through my clothes.

You play with a lot of colours and designs in your line. When a woman wants to wear something subtle, what would you suggest?
With my brand we do a lot of vibrant colours - a lot of yellows, lavender, and fuchsia for the younger audience, which is what my brand primarily caters to. Besides that, pastels are super hot this season. But I've noticed that women now prefer to wear darker tones, like grey, navy blues and charcoal is a favourite. They prefer to wear these subtle colours and that is what I can say is the flavour of the period.

Tell us about the accessory line that you've launched in India now?
My accessories line was started in New York a few months back and now I've launched it in India. It is inspired by metal instillations, machinery, space age and alien invasion. It's a collection that is based on the alter-ego of a woman. Every woman has a masculine side. Therefore this collection is masculine, edgy, and bold. What my collection lets you do is get in touch with your masculine side. So the pieces are designed very aggressive and bold. When you wear them, there is this sense of confidence. Women are stronger people. It's all about woman power, in a quirky way.
