If you’re not entertaining at home with family and friends, drop into Le Royal Meridienfor a rocking time.
La Brasserie is hosting a traditional brunch with turkey, ham with apricot sauce, roasted pumpkin comfit, yule log, sacher gateaux, a select open bar and Christmas carols at Rs1,950 including taxes.
Says executive chef Santosh Jori of the hotel who has planned the fare, “Another specialty is the Norwegian salmon — marinated overnight and with a flavour of honey, dill and orange. To lend a sweet touch to it all, one must try the Esterhazy cake with a layer of sweet pastry, almond mousse and butter cream; it’s rich and traditional alright!”
If that’s not enough check out Fashionably Flames’ restaurant’s haute couture fare with with brie and figs, stuffed chicken breast, garlic infused Angus steak, green pea risotto with parmesan crisp at Rs2,500. “There’s much for kids and adults alike,” continues Jori, referring to the carnival, pool games, DJ and dance floor that accompanies the merriment.
The special X’mas brunch will have honey and ginger glazed turkey at a carving station, as well as Arabic mezze with choice of baba ganoush, tabouleh and hummus, a rich Christmas pudding, mix berry mousse cake, apple strudle and other stations with themes and a select open bar.
