Mia Evonne Uyeda
|
She’s as pretty as pretty gets and defines the word bubbly like she’s the only personification of the sprightly adjective — Mia Evonne Uyeda, is as crazy and full-of-fun as her VJ-avatar portrayed her a few years ago. We caught her dressed in casuals as she reclined on her hotel-room bed, still full of energy and waiting for the show that would unravel that evening.
“I’m busy and I am happy,” she tells us, giving us a smile that most men would give up their fortune for. “I’ve got a Bollywood project that I soon might sign, but I really can’t speak too much about it, right now,” she adds.
The Bollywood project aside, we get chatty about her other interests in life. “Swapnil and I met at my first fashion show in India, which was incidentally his too — we’ve been crazily fond of each other since,” Mia says. Mia walked the ramp for Swapnil later that night, looking positively other-wordly in one of Swapnil’s futuristic designs.
“I love modelling,” she tells us, “but I also love acting and my first stint with acting in Tees Maar Khan, has left me wanting a lot more,” she adds. Mia has been in love with the camera and the camera has reciprocated this love for several years now. What’s cooler is her love for everything Indian. “I’m speaking more Hindi these days and hope to soon master the language as one of my own. I am Indian now and love being considered an Indian too,” she enthuses.
Southwards bound, we ask? And Mia shoots back, “Of course! I have watched movies by Ajith Kumar and Rajinikanth and would love to work in any of the industries down South. I’ve heard so much about them. They’re apparently more organised and that works for me,” she tells us. “I like having fun… but if fun and professionalism can meet, then there’s nothing like it,” she concludes.
