I attended a Shubha Mudgal concert recentlyat the Nehru Centre. Called Rushnai -- SongsOf Radiance, the performance enveloped me in its aura. Even after I left the venue, the magical touch of this experience lingered on, especially the moment when the artist performed with her husband, tabla maestro Aneesh Pradhan.
The two of them were in perfect sync; their chemistry was electrifying. They were so skillfully tuned in to each other that, I believe, even the gods would be awestruck.
I thought to myself, how blessed Shubha must be to have found a soul mate in her life partner. If their devotion to each other could touch my heart so deeply, how truly and wonderfully they must respect and revere each other.
She didn't have to have an hourglass figure (although her glow was brighter than a thousand light bulbs), and he didn't have to have six-pack abs, and yet they had eyes only for each other. If this is not love, then what it is?
The next morning, I read the newspaper headlines: Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were engaged. I couldn't help but feethat the love between Shubha and Aneesh is what should have been written about. They are like two instruments that complement each other and the rhythm that emanates is really all that matters
