Mumbai: Stylist Shailesh Moolya suggests snips and shades to looking your best this season:
Good things come in short packages Short is a rage, both internationally as well for the fashionistas in India. Women should experiment with their hair and let go of the traditional looks established so far. Variations of the short bob, for instance the asymmetric bob, graduated bob or even the box bob, are quite in.

DNA
Take a cue from Mandira Bedi's short layered look

Surprise surprise, heavy bangs are in fashion! Long layered hair is always in, as far as the Indian trend goes. The cut is personalised as per the face shape and the hair type and also as per the individual requirement depending on their face shape and bone structure. If someone has a broad forehead we recommend a fringe or a bang and we can keep the fringe heavy or asymmetric.

For wavy or curly hair, we normally don't recommend going too short with the layers. Any kind of haircut normally suits straight hair. For extremely voluminous or frizzy hair we recommend a keratin treatment along with the haircut to cut the frizz and the density of the hair.

Jazz it up
Colours for the season are very subtle, natural shades of brunette, auburn and violet or global, which is a one tone colour all over that, is in. Highlights are a big no-no this season. For maintenance, use the recommended products by the stylist and take style tips from them as to how you could style it at home. One can also accessorise their hair with bands, bandanas, clips or coloured extensions.

The X factor
For men, extremely short on the sides and the back is in, along with a messy and textured top. They also should ask their stylist for maintenance options and what products to use. Men can ruin their hairstyle if they do not know how to carry it. For the same, they should also ask the stylist how to do their hair at home with minimum effort. Men are not recommended to do fashion colours, but definitely advised to cover their greys. They may try a hue of natural browns and copper. To accessorize, they can use band and bandanas.
These styles can change one's personality and the way one looks completely. It also gives a morale boost and a feel good factor.
