Mumbai: With folks gearing up for Diwali, preening and pampering is as important as anything else. Any woman would agree that her neat, manicured hands with painted nails makes her feel beautiful. After all, it's the hands that women are focusing on this Diwali along with their faces and of course, their figures.
One popular treatment is the anti-ageing hand regime -- one of the new entrants in the world of beauty treatments is gaining popularity among women, especially those above 35.
Kiran Bawa from Iosis spa says, "There are many things that can be done to make your face look younger but more often, hands reveal a woman's exact age. And this is when hand treatments help." She adds, "We have a treatment that uses ingredients to help lighten and tighten the skin and give hands a younger look."
Shon Shon from Pasham nail bar continues, "We have a special treatment for about one hour 15 minutes. So many women who do not have the time to go for a lengthy facial or other treatment opt for this one and feel relaxed and pampered."
She explains further that the hand anti-ageing treatment make one's hands look young. "Usually working women opt for this treatment. Whether they are presenting something or working at their desk, it's the appearance of the hands that make an impression. So it's important to make them look wow!"
Jyoti Devjani, spa manager of Shanti spa in Trident says, "Usually it is the 35 plus women whose hands have started showing wrinkles who opt for this treatment. This treatment entails an exfoliating gentle scrub to remove the dead skin, a mask to allow absorption of nourishing and hydrating ingredients to improve the skin, and a massage to improve circulation to the area. It soothes the nerves and hydrates the skin to make it look good and feel healthy."
