YouTube singing sensation Terra Naomi, who came all the way from the US to send an SoS to Copenhagen to save Kashmir’s cherished glaciers, lakes and mountains from global warming, melted some ice of a different kind here. Her concert brought separatists and mainstream politicians together.

JKLF chairman Yasin Malik represented the separatist camp at the concert. From the ruling side, minister Nasir Sogami was present. The NC leader represents Amira Kadal where the JKLF headquarters is and Malik comes from. Tourism minister Nawang Rigzin Jora of the Congress, too, attended.

Dressed in a black embroidered pheran, Terra performed to a jam-packed Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex on the bank of the Dal Lake. From musical tributes to her mother to her award-winning Say it’s Possible, Terra’s aim was to create awareness and press for cut in green house emissions. She also sang some lines in Kashmiri, while the chorus followed with ‘Ye Chu Bilkul Mumkin’ (Say it’s Possible in Kashmiri).
