Delhi fashion week to pay ode to Steve Jobs

It is heard that many designers at the week would be dedicating their shows to the late founder and innovator of Apple, Steve Jobs.

Day One of the Delhi fashion week (WIFW) was able to create quite a buzz. Actor Rajeev Khandelwal attended designer Malini Ramani’s show. Then the last show of the day was to be held in the area outside the main venue making it almost an offsite show.

Day Two seemed to be concentrating on making way for younger talent with shows by designers like Hi-5 by Bhanuni by Jyoti Sharma, Manoj Dubey, Shipra Gupta, Surbhi Chawla, Taurus by Dhruv & Pallavi. The day will also have other established names like Manish Gupta, Preeti S Kapoor, Samant Chauhan, Urvashi Kaur, am:pm by Ankur & Priyanka Modi, Morphe by Amit Aggarwal.

Later, the evening was slated to see shows by renowned names like designer Kavita Bhartia, designer Sanchita Azzampaur, prét line by designer Ritu Kumar and designer Namrata Joshipura. It is heard that many designers at the week would be dedicating their shows to the late founder and innovator of Apple, Steve Jobs as they have been ardent fans of the products and also as an ode to the creativity the man possessed.
