Mumbai: The Sunburn Festival is back in its third edition to lure electronic music fans to Goa during the peak party season of December. This year, organisers Percept D Mark and Nikhil Chinapa have managed to get clubbing brand Gatecrasher for the label stage at the Sunburn Festival after having got Defected on board last year.

While the festival is already the biggest electronic music festival in Asia, it's also being touted as one of the most promising music festivals in the world. In fact, CNN rated it as one of the top 20 must-attend events in the world.

Festival director Nikhil Chinappa feels that he has been able to realise the vision he had seen for electronic dance music. "We are trying to create the Global-Indian experience on par with established international music festivals. The end objective being creating a festival which we can call our own," he says.

This year's line-up is interesting. Apart from Indian artistes like Jalebee Cartel, BLOT, DJ Ma Faiza and others, Sunburn has managed to pull off a coup of sorts by inviting the world's number one DJ Armin Van Buuren and the world's number one house DJ Roger Sanchez.

Interestingly, New York's DJ Sean Tyas is touring Pune, Delhi and Bangalore, giving shows as a precursor to the actual event. Tyas is known for his niche sound called the 'Tyas Sound'.

The festival will be held from December 27 to 29 at Candolim Beach.
