Christmas is not only about Santa Claus. Singer Sunidhi Chauhan associates the festival with love and romance. Although she doesn’t have a favourite Christmas song, she feels that there is nothing better than a sensuous romantic number.
“Ek din aap humein yu hee mil jaayenge... phool hee phool rahon main khil jaayenge is my favourite romantic song and I can’t associate Christmas with anything but romance. It’s bestwhen heard with loved ones,” she remarks.
Bappi Lahiri is quite fond of a song by Lata Mangeshkar and it’s almost like the Hindi version ofJingle bells he says.
“Aao tumhe chand pe le jaaye, pyaar bhare sapne sajaaye, chhota sa bangla banaaye, ek nayi duniya basaaye…. The lyrics of this song are very inspiring and can liven up your mood instantly and take you into the stars with Santa Claus,” he says.
Music director Shankar Mahadevan has simple taste as far as his favourite festive song is concerned. “It’s very clichéd, but I simply love Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way…,” he smiles.
