The Twilight Players - an energetic bunch of Nu-Brit Asians, Sinbad Phgura, Ammo and Jimi - are much in demand in Bollywood too

You don’t get to see this combination too often.

Okay, here it goes: These people have performed with Madonna, Robbie Williams, The Black Eyed Peas, Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis Bextor, U2, Michael Jackson and not to forget the appearance with Jude Law in the film Alfie. And, they have performed for Dev.D.

Well, the Twilight Players - an energetic bunch of Nu-Brit Asians, Sinbad Phgura, Ammo and Jimi - are much in demand in Bollywood too.

The moment their managerhands the phone over to them, they rave and rant about the city and how they are in love with Mumbai.

“I love the Chinese food here. The city has somehow grown on us. There was a time when we came to visit Mumbai. Now, we come home,” says Sinbad.

The band had come to attend the Fashion Week and also to network for their new Bollywood moves.

So, is anything brewing regarding the Bollywood front? “Anurag (Kashyap) and Abhay (Deol) are good friends of us. We plan to catch up with them. We are not the kinds who would talk about their work even before we have started out. I will tell you when we sign something but till then, we can only tell you that we have been talking to a lot of people and figuring out a few things,” Sinbad added.

For now, the band is happy taking a tour of Mumbai nightclubs. “The taste of music is like any other part in the world, but people here also prefer the classic tracks of the seventies. The sixties swings still work here. It’s so amazing. We are now looking forward to our gig at the nightclubs. It’s really amazing when we see the crowd grooving to our music. There are certain things about Mumbai that you simply can’t forget. The last time we came here in Mumbai was for the premiere of Dev.D. But it seems that we have come here just yesterday,” Sinbad ends.
