Tan, fuschia, gold, silver, bling... a new look is just a click away with Liberty's new range of soles that can be fitted with a variety of upper front panels for a drastically different look.

For Rs 2,999, the sole comes with two pairs of interchangeable uppers. A Hong-Kong-based design house was involved in developing the sole's mechanics. The sole has a circular cut-out at the centre. The uppers slide into the top half of the sole and are locked in place with a screw from below that slips into a cut out in the upper and is twisted clockwise. Keep a coin handy, as it's not possible to twist the screw in place with your bare fingers.

If you're heading out to party after work, you might enjoy the convenience of carrying along a set of bling uppers rather than a whole new pair of shoes. If you're one of those women who loves to cart along multiple pairs of shoes on vacations you will certainly appreciate the lightweight uppers, “currently available in eight designs with two colour varients each,” according to Anupam Bansal, Executive Director, Liberty Group. Additional uppers are available for Rs 1,000 a set.

Currently available with a classic 3.5 inch heel and a cushioned mid-sole, these shoes offer a substantial amount of comfort. Changing the uppers takes some getting used to, so do practice, lest you find yourself caught struggling in a pinch.
