Today as the world celebrates 'World Puppet Day,' we have a look at puppetry, the art. Every year on the 21st of March, puppets and puppeteers all over the world are celebrated. This form of art has been warming hearts for over 3000 years. Many countries including India, have produced some exemplary artists. Puppetry has been a major source of entertainment and has been impacting people for ages. It has held a firm fort as a mass entertainer in carnivals all over the world. Among the different forms of puppetry, a form called Ventriloquism has been rather impactful. It involves the puppeteer modulating his voice to sound like his puppet. Puppets are said to have calming effects on humans and there are researches to prove the same. They are also considered to be the best medium of educating young children.
