Winter chills and open air restaurants are a perfect amalgamation of what the heart and soul desires. A feast of the senses in the most literal way on display for those who crave it.

A prelude to Arabian nights
The ambience of Marhaba is welcoming. It transports you into a tropical dessert on a chilly winter night. Located on the second floor of Grand Sarovar Premier, its setting is relaxed. Arabian tracks play in the background while the sounds of the waterfall soothe your frazzled nerves after a long day at work. Seated at the table, resting our backs on a comfy cushion we browse through what the menu has to offer. That does not take too long, as the options are limited.

Food
Grilled meats and pita bread in different variations are common on the menu. For starters, we tried the Shish Taouk (Rs 349) which was primarily boneless chicken kebab marinated in garlic, lemon juice and olive oil, grilled and served with garlic sauce to start our meal. The chicken was juicy and well spiced and went well with the garlic sauce. The Mishwee Mishakel (Rs 549), an assorted platter of mixed grill fish, chicken, tiger prawns and lamb Kofta with sumac salad and oven fresh pita bread was next in line. All the meats on the platter were equally good but the prawns and the lamb were exceptional. The Shawarma Dajaj (Rs 399) prepared with pita bread, home made pickles, Turshi French fries and garlic mint sauce however, was just too dry for our taste. Give it a miss. If you love Baklava (Rs 249) try their version of it. It's flaky, with just the right amount of nuts and honey, served hot with or without ice cream. The menu is not extensive, however, the dishes do not disappoint. This could easily be one of those haunts to drop by for a quick drink with friends or colleagues.
