Piping hot chai served with bun maska pav has been an eternal favourite for a while now. It's no secret that we love our buns with loads of butter. This is evident from the dollops that find its way into a plate of spicy, pav bhaji and the traditional breakfast favourite bun maska that's loaded with buttery goodness. The Bun Men - friends Hormuz Mehta and Kushal Bhammer are hoping we will extend that love to their latest offering 'hybrid choux pastry' which does away with the pastry and uses buns instead. Currently available in six different flavours The Dark Lord (Rs 60), Berry Me Bananas (Rs 60), Hazel's Nuts (Rs 70), Crazee Caramel (Rs 70) , Pista-La-Vista, Baby (Rs 70) and Red-I-Culous (Rs 70). Generous amounts of sweet creamy goodness flows out of the freshly baked bun as you take a bite. Our favourite of the lot was the combination of bananas and strawberry cream called Berry Me Bananas. The Pista-La-Vista is another sweet temptation that promises and delivers a sugar high like no other, while the Crazee Caramel, Hazel's Nuts, Red-I-Culuos and The Dark Lord are just about okay, but sure to find its takers. Overall, these sugary, creamy treats are recommended for those who like it sweet, and we mean very sweet.
