Manit Joura’s recent trip to California was replete with motorbiking, driving and also a helicopter ride. Apart from that, the actor, who plays Rishabh Luthra in Kundali Bhagya, also indulged in nature hikes and painting the town red in Las Vegas. “I connect deeply with travelling. I don’t know what spirituality is, but travelling helps me connect with myself,” he says. Over to him for more...

LANDING IN LA

I first landed in Los Angeles and stayed there for two days — I prefer exploring more destinations instead of staying put in one place for too long. There, I visited the Universal Studios and Madame Tussaud. I also trekked for an hour-and-a-half to the highest point of the Hollywood sign. Being a biker, I visited the dirt tracks and rode the motorcycle.

SENSATIONAL SAN FRANCISCO

I then went to San Jose followed by San Francisco, where I visited the Golden Gate Bridge and Ambreville. Since I love nature and hiking, Yosemite Valley was a paradise for me. I ditched a regular hotel for the campsite. The stop here included Vernal Falls, where the water was clear and blue. This place has virgin mountains and you can trek here for seven-eight days.

Nature heals me. I was so moved to be here that I sat and meditated on the stone as well and jumped into the river.

RIDING ALONG

My next visit was to the Grand Canyon and then Colorado Springs. The latter is a haven for bikers, so I spent an entire day motorcycling there. While returning, I took the Death Valley Road that gets its name due to its tough terrain and because many people have died here.

VIVA! LAS VEGAS

After riding, it was time to explore the car racing tracks in Las Vegas. I rented a Ferrari and have never been so elated before. I then headed to San Diego, where I flew a helicopter and it was a terrific experience! I also visited many aquariums and the USS Midway — the maritime museum.
